Facebook Home is now available to download from the Play Store in the UK.
The Android launcher, which surfaces your friends' statuses, pictures and other updates on your phone's homescreen, was launched in the US last week.
Facebook Home features a number of neat features to bring the Facebook experience directly to your device.
Cover Feed shows all updates right from the unlock screen. You can swipe through the most recent activity from your timeline and 'like' posts or add comments in just a couple of clicks.
Chat Heads is a way to talk to your friends using Facebook Messenger. Your friends' Facebook profile pops up in a little circle whatever application you're in and you can just tap it to start chatting. You can re-position the Chat Heads anywhere on the screen so they don't get in the way and if you're really not up for talking, you can just flick them off the screen.
Apps take a back seat with Facebook Home. You don't have the option to place your favourites in the form of widgets on the homescreen, which is disappointing really.
There is a dedicated apps launcher, where you can quickly head to the last app you were using, Facebook Messenger or take a look in your bookmarked apps drawer, but it takes a lot more than just a simple tap.
Facebook Home is definitely suited to those who are obsessed with what's going on in their friends' lives. It's a little too deeply installed for our liking but we'll post a full review when we've checked it out fully.
To install Facebook Home on your Samsung Galaxy S3, Samsung Galaxy Note 2, HTC One, head to the Play Store.
The HTC First will be the first handset to feature Facebook Home preinstalled and it's expected to launch in the UK later in the summer.
