HTC has reported rather disappointing sales figures for Q1 2013 and sources around the web are blaming the HTC One's delayed release date for the loss.
HTC reported £930 million in revenue but only £1.85 million in earnings - the manufacturer's lowest quarterly profit ever according to Bloomberg.
Marking a 37 per cent fall in revenue compared to the first quarter of 2012, this is definitely not the news HTC's shareholders wanted to hear.
It also marks the sixth quarter of decline for the Taiwanese manufacturer which comes as sad news for a company that was once marked as a visionary in the smartphone space.
The HTC One was supposed to ship in February, but didn't end up hitting shelves until late March in many markets. It's still not available everywhere now.
The delay was due to a shortage of camera parts - one feature the device has been praised for.
'HTC One’s production shortage means lost sales in the first quarter will be lost forever, not just delayed,' Lu Chia- lin an analyst at Daiwa Securities told Bloomberg.
The HTC One could be one of the most impressive smartphones to launch in 2013, alongsiode the iPhone 5S and Samsung Galaxy S4, but has the HTC One's delayed launch destroyed HTC forever? We hope not.
