Facebook is reportedly in advance stages of negotiations in an attempt to acquire social-based navigation service Waze. Details are light but it’s said that the deal could fall between $800M and $1B (with a ‘B’) dollars. The buyout talks are alleged to have started in January however the two also got quite cozy in October 2012 when Waze introduced a Facebook client.
Waze has been on quite a tear as of late, having grown its user base to 45 million with more than 1.5M downloading the app in March.
