Right in line with updates to some of Google‘s apps, Google Calendar’s Android app has also received an update that will make quite a few on-the-go schedulers yelp with glee.
Apparently one of the most hotly requested features for Google Calendar has been being able to customize events and calendar colours from the app itself. Well, today’s update to the app includes the ability to do both these things (except if you have below Android 4.1, you won’t be able to edit event colours). The screenshots above show some of the new menus you’ll be seeing when you create a new event.
The new app also changes up the event time and date menus, making it much clearer and easier to pick the desired times and defining recurring events.
Personally, I think this is a great update; I actually stopped using Calendar because it was too hard to add events while I was out, so this might be the update that brings me back into the fold.
