Plastic iPhone 6 render looks hot

A new render of the iPhone 6 shows a plastic case, but it still looks like an Apple design

A render of the iPhone 6 in plastic has surfaced, and it proves even if Apple stops using premium materials, the iPhone 6 will be a hot device.

The video produced by Ran Avani appeared on Cult of Mac and claims to be the iPhone 6.

The video is a series of pictures rather than the iPhone in action.

It shows dual speakers on the bottom with a 3.5mm headphone jack, separate volume keys and what looks like a camera button on the side and a camera with flash on the back.

Above the screen, there's a camera and speaker, while below the screen, there's the same home key as on the current iPhone.

The UI looks the same as on iOS 6, although it only shows the lock screen.

The video shows the iPhone 6 in both black and white versions, with the Apple logo firmly in place on the back.

The iPhone 5S or iPhone 6 is due to launch this year, possible alongside a budget iPhone, while the iPhone 6 should make an appearance next year.

However, late last week, a number of new information leaked regarding the iPhone 6's release date. Apparently, the iPhone 6 popped up in Vodafone's inventory for later in the year, suggesting the iPhone 6 could come sooner than we think.

We expect the iPhone 6 to feature a larger screen, higher resolution camera and of course, new design, but we're not sure it'll be as far out as Avani's renders.

34 patents related to new iPhone 6 tech were leaked last week, including a low related to improved camera tech.
