ASUS is on a roll with its Computex announcements today; they’ve just announced a refresh of their flagship tablet, the Transformer Pad Infinity. The particular note on this new tablet is the 2560×1600 10.1-inch display, which directly rivals the Nexus 10 resolution, and the fact it will run a Tegra 4 chip. Excuse me while I retrieve my jaw from the ground.
The Transformer Pad Infinity will also have 2GB RAM, 32GB storage as well as a SD card slot and front and rear cameras. ASUS claim that the Infinity will also be capable of giving HDMI-output of up to 4k resolution. Apart from the jaw-dropping specs, ASUS have also improved on the keyboard dock, adding a multi-touch trackpad as well as a USB 3.0 port.
Not much more is known about the tablet, but The Verge has reported that the tablet will cost $399 USD as a standalone or$499 USD bundled with the dock and is looking at a Q3 release this year. ASUS is clearly going all out with Android devices this year as they’re being announced left, right and centre.
Are you as gob-smacked with the Transformer Pad Infinity as I am? Let us know where your jaw is at in the comments.
