Those of you holding on to a Galaxy S III might want to prepare yourselves for an update. SamMobile just teased the absolute crap out of us right now, by posting to anyone with a Samsung flagship to backup your files and prepare for an update. They also hashtagged this post with Earl’s Court, which is where a Samsung event is going to take place this Thursday, in London. Samsung should be unveiling the Galaxy S4 Active, as well as ATIV at this event, but there is possibly an Android 4.2.2 test update might be unleashed as well. Sadly, this might only be for the international version of the S3. Also, we have the Galaxy Note II to contend to, so maybe there will be some sort of update for the phablet as well.
Now when I came across this tease, I almost thought Android 4.3. Snapping to conclusions is probably what happened there, and I forgot that Android 4.2.2 has not made it onto the S3 yet. So your guess is as good as mine about this, but we will definitely make sure to keep you guys posted if this is true.
