Another set of photos showing the Nexus 7 2 have emerged today, this time from Google-centric site Android Police, and they appear to show the upcoming tablet running the new iteration of the Android OS, Jelly Bean 4.3.
The images show the new Nexus 7 2 with an as-yet unseen background, which looks distinctly like it could be the new system default, and the tablet in the leaked pics also has its clock set to 4.30, which isn’t the subtlest of hints, so we’re fairly confident the device will launch with Android 4.3, the latest version of Jelly Bean.
The new photos corroborate earlier assertions that the new Nexus 7 will feature dual cameras, a 5.2-megapixel rear-facer and 1.2-megapixel front-facer, and a notification light too, and there are also strong rumours to suggest that the device will feature a 1.5GHz quad-core processor and 1920 x 1200 pixel display.
Despite gossip suggesting that Google will do away with the 16GB iteration in favour of 32 and 64GB offerings, the tablet will launch with the same storage configuration as its predecessor, and a similar pricing structure too, with the 16GB version of the device reportedly retailing for around £150 and the 32GB for £175.
Tomorrow will see an event hosted by Sundar Pichai, the senior Vice President of Google who oversees Android and Chrome, and although the company claims that the breakfast meeting will simple be a personal event thrown by Pichai, with the rumors around the Nexus 7 2 gaining momentum, it’s looking more and more likely that the event could be a secret device launch for selected guests.
Naturally, we'll be on-hand tomorrow to bring you all you need to know, so stay tuned.
