The Nokia Lumia 1020 will now be called the Lumia 909 according to one website.
EV Leaks revealed what it purports to be the final name for the Nokia Lumia, continuing on from the naming tradition of the Pureview 808.
Presumably, if Nokia does announce its device as the Lumia 909 next week, it is to make the connection between the Symbian-based Nokia Pureview 808 and the Lumia version.
Whatever the device is called, we wish Nokia would just make up its mind. The device was first referred to as the EOS, then the Lumia 1020, not the 909.
EV Leaks also revealed pictures of the Nokia Lumia 909 and the focus of this picture is the Pureview camera mounted on the back.
The photo, seen on EV Leaks shows the 41-megapixel camera and what looks like a double flash. One of the flashes is long and thin, while the other is a small dot. We assume one is LED, the other is Xenon for ultra camera flexibility.
The Nokia Lumia 1020 (or Lumia 909 - whatever) will probably be called the Nokia Elvis on AT&T in the US, but we assume Nokia will just refer to it by its number in the UK.
The Nokia Lumia 909 (or 1020) will launch on July 11 in New York.
Other features in the device include:
- Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core chip clocked at around 1.5GHz
- 1GB RAM
- Windows Phone 8
- 32GB internal storage, but no microSD card slot
- 4.5-inch screen
- It will come in a range of colours
