An official Nokia Lumia 1020 product render shows what colours to expect while details of the Nokia Pro Camera app have emerged

An official render has leaked online showing the Nokia Lumia 1020 in three different colours – white, black and yellow.

The picture emerged via Windows Phone Central and shows the 41-megapixel PureView camera-equipped Windows Phone 8 handset in three different hues, it’s believed the device will be launching at Nokia’s New York event on Thursday 11 July.

Normally official renders which show multiple colour variants tend to show the full range of options, so this picture would suggest that your choice is fairly limited.

Previously leaked images have shown small holes in the back panel, which some have suggested may indicate the phone will accommodate a clip-on wireless charging cover, just like the Lumia 925.

WPCentral’s report has confirmed charging covers for the Lumia 1020 and this could further vary your colour options and, if they’re anything like the Lumia 925 charging covers, they’ll be very thin too.

Windows Phone Central also gained access to some further details, though didn’t indicate where they came from. The publication reports it can confirm optical image stabilisation (OIS) and dual-capture of both 5-megapixel and 32-megapixel images (as rumoured). The report says the 5-megapixel image will use oversampling ‘dropping 7 pixels into one super pixel’.

Meanwhile, we’ll allegedly see 2GB of RAM inside the Lumia 1020 – more than any other Windows Phone device so far, and as per previous rumours it will have 32GB of onboard storage but no microSD. We can see the lack of microSD being an annoyance to some photo enthusiasts, admittedly there will be cloud solutions of course.

Also of interest is the name, Lumia 909 was apparently considered but the phone will launch as the Lumia 1020. The phone will ship with Windows Phone 8 with the Nokia Amber update pre-installed, this will mean you get some of the new features such as flip-to-silent and a night-time clock. The Lumia 1020 will also have NFC capability.

New details have also come to light regarding the leaked Nokia Pro Camera app spotted on the device’s homescreen in earlier snaps. According to the report this will ‘give advanced photo settings to users in ‘live mode’,’ and includes settings for ISO, White Balance, Manual Focus, Shutter speed and Flash
