iOS 7 will start rolling out to devices on September 10, according to an email sent to developers.
Developer Owen Williams received an email from Apple saying the update would be arriving on consumer's iPad, iPhones and iPods on September 10, as previously rumoured.
Nuance sent the email out saying, 'As you are probably aware, iOS 7 GA will be released on September 10th. The NDEV Program has pre-qualified that SpeechKit 1.4.5 works properly on iOS 7, but we encourage you to conduct your own testing to ensure that when the upgrade happens, your Nuance speech services continue to work seamlessly.'
The Verge thinks Nuance works closely enough with Apple for this date to be true. The website also speculated that it could mean the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C will be ready to go on sale on announcement day, although Apple has never tried this with the iPhone in the past, so we can't see it happening this time.
iOS 7 is now on its sixth beta, with only the seventh to go before the Gold Master build is launched - normally a week before it heads to everyone's devices.
iOS 7 features a completely overhauled UI, Control Center, Notifications Center, multitasking and a whole load of other new aspects, bringing the platform bang up to date.
