The Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch may be set to arrive in five colour options, according to reports.
Reputable source SamMobile reports that one of its insiders has revealed the colour options for Samsung’s forthcoming Galaxy Gear Smartwatch. As per previous reports, the Samsung Galaxy Gear will begin shipping on ‘week 39’ ie: the end of September/start of October after its announcement on September 4 at IFA 2013 in Berlin, Germany.
However, the source revealed that specifically the week 39 batch will include white, orange, black and grey variants but that during week 40 a ‘white gold’ edition will also be shipped. There is some suggestion that the white gold model may be region/carrier specific.
SamMobile stressed that the dates are approximate and could be out by a week or so and that the list of colours is not necessarily complete – additional colour variants may be revealed nearer to launch.
Leaked details suggest the Samsung Galaxy Gear will pack a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and a Mali-400MP GPU, a 1.67-inch AMOLED display with a 320x320 pixel resolution, NFC support, Bluetooth and a 2-megapixel camera. It’ll run Android with a custom UI and will use a set of specially made apps. You’ll also be able to link it up to your Samsung Galaxy smartphone and it’ll let you view your social networking feeds or messages.
