Samsung has revealed the pre-order price for its latest Samsung Galaxy Note 3 smartphone and it’ll cost you quite a bit at £649.
That price covers the base storage model SIM-free with 32GB of onboard capacity, this is currently the only model available in the UK and can be had in white or black. A 64GB model and the pink colour option remains absent at present.
There’s also the expected bundle deal which will cost you £848 for the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Gear smartwatch, which Samsung says will save you £100 from the cost of buying both separately.
Phones4U is also detailing tariff deals and there’s quite a range now that the majority of UK networks are offering 4G packages on top of existing 3G services.
On the 4G side of things you can grab the Galaxy Note 3 on EE or Vodafone with unlimited texts and minutes plus 2GB of data for £41 per month and an up-front phone cost of £79.99, this deal is a 24 month contract.
Vodafone also has a 24-month 3G deal where you can get the handset free with 4GB of monthly data and 2GB of Wi-Fi for £47 per month. Orange’s alternative is similar but has 5GB of 3G mobile data.
Samsung is planning on releasing the Galaxy Note 3 to pre-order customers on September 25, though it would appear Phones4U expects stock to come in slower, saying, ‘due to stock constraints the delivery of this device may take 3-4 weeks.’
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz with 3GB of RAM, a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a full HD 1920x1080 pixel resolution and full 4G connectivity.
It carries a removable 3,200mAh battery pack plus microSD support for cards up to 64GB while Android 4.3 Jelly Bean runs the show with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top.
Naturally, the device comes with the S-Pen stylus, complete with Wacom’s digitiser technology and Samsung has implemented a number of new features such as enhanced Multiscreen multitasking, windowed applications and the Air Command radial menu.
Meanwhile the onboard cameras are rated at 13-megpaixels and 2-megapixels for back and front respectively and have Samsung’s repertoire of bonus features, such as Dual Shot, plus full HD 1080p video capture.
