This is more rumor than anything right now, but it does come from a pretty reliable Twitter source. Eldar Murtazin put a tweet out last night that is all but surprising. According to him, Samsung is developing its own version of Google Glass. Carrying over the ‘Gear’ name that was recently attached to the Galaxy Gear smartwatch that was just recently launched with alongside the Galaxy Note 3.
The name that Eldar mentions is Gear Glass. We won’t be giving Samsung many points for creativity with a name like that. It wouldn’t at all surprise us if Samsung was working on something, and has been for quite some time. Eldar’s mention of “probably see it around april-may” seems like a fair target time frame.

We will keep this in the rumor bin for now and hope that sometime in the near future some prototype leaks start to surface. Until then, what do you think? Will Samsung push a product that is Glass like to their huge Galaxy following? What possible variances will they attempt to integrate?
