For pixies, nymphs and elves, nature is life’s playground. Such is the creative force behind mother Cyndi Monaghan’s (@elf_girl) Instagram feed where she has been capturing the woodland play of her children.

Her photos and videos are a delightful mixture of cheeky grins from underneath leaves, hands holding out the day’s discoveries from explorations and glimpses into her children’s imaginative games with their cats, Bear and Klaus.

"I love nature and the outdoors and try to capture the details and the enormousness of it," she says. "I document their childhood through Instagram photos. It’s quick, easy and satisfying. I don’t need to drag a big fancy camera around, I’ve always got my small and handy iPhone so I don’t miss out on these special, ordinary moments I share with my kids."
