Tablets seem to be getting bigger and cheaper but Dacor are charging $11,999 for its latest 7-inch Android offering. The catch? It comes with an oven attached.
The Discovery iQ Dual-Fuel Smart Range is an Android 4.0, 7-inch slate with a 48-inch home oven attached on the back. The Discovery iQ app is preloaded onto the tablet so you can control the oven through the touchscreen.
Another model is available in a 36-inch oven variation. Both are quite expensive for a 7-inch Android slate considering it is probably the most non-portable on the market.
Some may buy this piece of equipment for the food cooking capabilities. Apparently it offers novelties such as not eating takeaway pizza and pot noodles every night.
If you already have an Android slate and can’t afford the Discovery iQ oven, the Dacor iQ app is available on the Google Play Store and can be used to control your WiFi oven remotely. Because we all have one of those.
