FitBit adds 12 Android devices to compatibility list, updates app

fitbit_force2 If you’ve wanted to pick up a FitBit activity tracker, but your phone wasn’t compatible, today might be your lucky day. FitBit has announced 12 new additions to their compatibility list, bringing the total number of supported Android devices to 17. The new additions include:

  • LG G2

  • HTC One

  • Moto X

  • Nexus 4

  • Nexus 5

  • Nexus 7 (2013 version)

  • Droid Ultra

  • Droid Maxx

  • Droid Razr M

  • Droid Mini

  • Droid Razr HD

  • Droid Razr HD Maxx

These devices join a handful of Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets in the FitBit family. FitBit has also announced that their devices are the only activity trackers with Bluetooth 4.0 syncing on Android, which is pretty impressive as well.

Of course the FitBit app itself has been updated to reflect the new devices and some additional features such as NFC pairing have been added as well. So if your device made the list, now might be the perfect time to invest in a FitBit activity tracker!
