A new wireless mobile gaming controller is now available to pre-order

Towards the end of 2013 we saw a big push for mobile gaming controllers with the release of the Logitech Powershell and MOGA Ace Power. Today SteelSeries announced its Stratus iOS 7 gaming controller. The big difference for this compared to the other two devices? It’s entirely wireless.

The Stratus is a wireless device which doesn’t connect to an iPhone's Lightning port like many other controllers. The actual controller looks very Xbox-esque and offers console-style controls with a directional pad, two analog sticks and four face buttons.

The wireless connectivity also allows up to four controllers to play at one time. Battery power is an average of 10 hours game life off a full battery and an average charge time of 2 hours.

Games which support the controller include the usual run Dead Trigger 2, Asphalt 8: Airborne and Bastion. Additional developers are once again pledging to build support into the games.

The Stratus controller is priced at £89.99 and is available to pre-order now.
