Verizon intros $99 prepaid Moto G

Verizon Wireless on Thursday announced that the Moto G smartphone will be available starting from January 9, 2014. Priced at a mere $99, the phone runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with a guaranteed update to at least Android 4.4 KitKat. You’ll be able to pick one of these through Verizon’s website next week followed by a retail presence in the coming weeks.

Customers will be able to pair the Moto G with rate plans that start at $60 per month for unlimited talk, text, and 2GB data. Should you need more data, a $70 plan offers 4GB per month.

It’s pretty darn ridiculous the amount of phone you’re getting here for the money. With nary a contract in sight, it’s nearly impossible to resist. Hardware features include a 4.5-inch HD display, 5-megapixel camera and a Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor.
