Chinese manufacturer Huawei is planning to unveil some new devices at a press conference on Sunday but one has leaked beforehand. The MediaPad X1 seems to be a rival to the Nexus 7. The rumours come from a Chinese Weibo site which also confirmed some specs alongside the photos.
It will have a 7-inch display alongside a 1.6GHz quad-core HilSilicon 910 CPU. The screen resolution is 1920 x 1200 pixels which results in a pixel density of 323 pixels-per-inch (ppi). There is 2GB of RAM on board as well as 16GB of storage.
You get a 6000mAh battery to help keep you going whilst using the slate and you also have the option of grabbing an LTE version of the tablet if you want to be connected wherever you go.
The images suggest there will be a faux leather smart case available as well, which uses a window so you can still keep track of your notifications when it’s closed. The Chinese website comes out with a price of 1200 Yuan which equates to around £120.
Know Your Mobile will be at MWC covering the latest from the Huawei press conference. It takes place in Barcelona on Sunday 23 February. We don’t know what else will be announced but there's bound to be a bunch of new midrange handsets
