HTC has unveiled a load more details about the HTC Desire 310. It’s an entry-level smartphone which will be coming to a retailer near you in the not-too-distant future.
The Desire 310 features a 4.5-inch 854 x 480 pixel display and a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582M processor. There’s also 1GB of RAM, a 5MP camera on the back, a VGA camera on the front and it’s all powered by a 2,000mAh battery.
In terms of software it’ll come with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with HTC Sense on top. There’s also HTC BlinkFeed included, meaning you'll get a tiled feed of social networking, news and photo updates.
HTC hasn’t unveiled the storage options just yet but we know for sure there will be the option to expand whatever it is with a microSD card. There will be single and dual-SIM options and the phone will be available in red, white, black and a deep navy blue.
“Everybody today wants a smartphone that can keep up with them, regardless of whether it is a flagship or entry-level model” says Peter Chou, CEO of HTC Corporation. “The latest addition to our renowned HTC Desire range combines super-fast processing and premium features at a lower price, offering users the best possible experience in this category.”
There will be a launch on April 10 when the device will be rolled out to a number of countries including Germany, the Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland. Currently there's no word on a release date in the UK but it shouldn’t take too long for it to reach us.
It’s an entry level handset so the price is pretty good. It’s only going to be €160 in Germany whilst it’ll cost €170 in the Netherlands. Of course there's no information regarding pricing in the UK yet.
