The Nokia Lumia 520 proved to be a popular choice, it’s the most successful Windows Phone handset ever created. It seems a sequel will be coming soon under the title Nokia Lumia 530. We knew it’d come eventually and it’s now been spotted inside a Windows Phone buying guide which shows off devices on Windows Phone 8.1
It’s just an image so far and there are no specs just yet but we know from where it is in the guide it’ll run Windows Phone 8.1. From the differing sizes in the photo we can also predict it’ll have a 4.3-inch display compared to the other handsets. The Nokia Lumia 520 had a 4-inch display with 800 x 480 pixels.
The photo also proves there won’t be a front facing camera, a rarity on modern handsets. Those manual buttons from the front of the handset are also gone, there’s now on-screen keys which Windows Phone 8.1 has allowed for the first time.
We don’t expect any high end specifications inside the Lumia 530, the 520 was a budget handset after all. It does seem to have a different body to the handset before, there’s some rounded edges creeping into it which we’ve seen on both the Lumia 620 and 630 so far.
So expect a cheap price point and some below average specs. We just hope Microsoft manage to stick 1GB of RAM inside to make it a little more powerful than the rest of the competition. Would you buy the Nokia Lumia 530 with what we know so far? Let us know below.
