Want rid of a nuisance caller? Here’s how to do it on your Apple iPhone

We all get them, those annoying phones calls which ruin your day. Whether it be PPI claims, spam phone calls or someone from your past you no longer want to talk to, some phones calls can be very annoying.

Apple has implemented an easy way to block numbers within iOS 7. Beforehand it was possible but a little more difficult. If you’re on iOS 7 or above this is how to do it.

So the first step is to know which version of Apple’s operating system you’re using. If you don’t know, head into your settings menu and find it under Operating System. If you’ve kept up to date you’re likely using iOS 7.1 on your iPhone.

How To Block A Number On iOS 7

Head into the Phone app, the green logo you use to make calls. At the bottom of the app window there’s a section called “Recents” and it’ll give you a long list of your most recent calls. From there you can click the “i” icon next to the contact and scroll down the bottom of the window.

From there it will say “Block This Caller” and all you need to do is click on that and confirm the choice. Now that contact can’t phone you again unless you unblock them. Of course you need to know the number, if it’s a hidden number you’re not able to.

How To Unblock A Number On iOS 7

Wrong number? Forgiven that annoying friend? Want to know all about PPI? You can always reverse your choice. Head into your Settings app under the phone tap, go onto a section called “Blocked” and hit edit. There’s then a red circle next to all the blocked numbers and if you hit that button you can unblocked numbers easily.
