One of the biggest announcements for Microsoft at E3 2014 happened to be the re-release of Halo 2. If you didn’t already know, Halo is a reasonably popular franchise and is exclusive to the Microsoft line of consoles. Halo 2: Anniversary will be coming to the Xbox One in the near future alongside The Master Chief Collection, which includes all four games in the original series. Halo 2: Anniversary will be included in the pack and it will take the classic game and give it a huge graphical upgrade.
We’ve now received the first trailer for Halo 2, you can view it just below, and it shows off just how stunning the remastered game really is. The trailer starts with a message stating it “represents work in progress”, one way of covering themselves if the game doesn’t look exactly up to scratch in the future.
All we get to see is a cut scene from the original game remastered but it shows off how Blur Studio has reworked the footage. 343 Industries brought Blur Studio in to rework all of the cut scenes from the original game and the hard work seems to have paid off.
The Master Chief Collection will be coming to the UK on November 14 and North America on November 11 this year. The game will also come with access to the Halo 5 Beta plus it’ll be around the same time that we see the release of the first live action series based on the franchise entitled Halo: Nightfall.
