Meow Chat is a new social network, formerly known as Meow, and already has millions of members from all across the world. It began life as an instant messaging service but has now brought in a chat feature, it allows you to pair up with strangers in your local area much like Tinder.
Essentially it can be used a dating app in disguise and from the success of Tinder you know exactly why it has been so popular.
It’s free to download in either the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. Once you’ve downloaded it it’ll ask you to connect up with your Facebook account. It’ll then gain access to your friends list and it’s beginning to annoy a lot of people as it allows users to invite their Facebook friends to download.
When You Sign Up, Say No
Once you’ve signed up for the service, make sure you say no to sending out invites. It can get really annoying; especially for people you don’t speak to often.
Keep Saying No
Meow Chat has been sending out even more chances to invite your friends over the past few days. Just keep saying no.
Block Meow Chat
If you’re not signed up to the service you’ll still get invites to your Facebook notifications. The way to block them all together is to click on Games on the left hand side.
Find Your Requests
You’ll then find a section called Requests, you need to find one from Meow Chat and then press the X option to the right hand side of it. There’s an option for “Block Meow Chat” that you’ll need to click to confirm and then you wont receive any more notifications.
