Google Nexus 9 Tablet Benchmarked

Google's Nexus 9 has appeared in AnTuTu benchmarks with 4G LTE connectivity

News

The much-rumoured Nexus 9 tablet, believed to be a fresh approach from Google as a successor to the Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 slates, has appeared in an AnTuTu benchmark listing.

The benchmark results, sourced by TK Tech News, show the device running Android 5.0, the release version of Android L thought to be dubbed Android Lemon Meringue Pie, and it gains an AnTuTu score of 45923, ranked “amazing”.

Other details include the rumoured Nvidia Tegra K1 64-bit 2.5GHz processor and a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution. Lastly, the results confirm an LTE-capable version with 4G mobile data connectivity, as it carries an IMEI number which has been crossed out.

Several sources have previously pointed to an October rollout of Android 5.0 which is thought to coincide with the launch of the Nexus X smartphone, aka the Nexus 6. It’s not clear whether the Nexus 9 will launch around the same time, but this is a possibility. Some rumours point to a Q3 launch of the Nexus 9, which is believed to be manufactured by HTC – previously Asus has created Google’s Nexus 7 tablets while Samsung was responsible for the larger Nexus 10.
