Weekend Hashtag Project: #WHPLineMeetsCorner

Weekend Hashtag Project is a series featuring designated themes and hashtags chosen by Instagram’s Community Team. For a chance to be featured on the Instagram blog, follow @instagram and look for a post announcing the weekend’s project every Friday.

The goal this weekend is to compose photos with a strong line, and where at least one line meets the corner of the frame. Here are some tips to get you started:

• Keep an eye out for strong lines as you plan your shots. Buildings, roads and other architecture make for great starting points.


• Try shooting from a little farther back than you might normally. The wider angle gives you more room to crop in, rotate and make the lines meet the corners.


• For an added challenge, try to hit multiple corners at once. Getting your lines to meet two or all four corners can lead to beautiful results.

PROJECT RULES: Please only add the #WHPLineMeetsCorner hashtag to photos from this weekend and only submit your own photographs to the project. Any tagged image taken over the weekend is eligible to be featured Monday morning.
