HTC has just unveiled a revamped version of its 2014 flagship smartphone, the HTC One M8 Eye. The new camera focused (ha) upgrade will launch in both China and India but it has now been revealed it won’t be launched in anywhere in Europe, including the UK.
The HTC One M8 Eye comes with camera upgrades in various different areas. The UltraPixel technology used in the One M8 has been heavily criticised for focusing too much on low-light shots and not performing well in other shooting situations.
Whilst other flagship manufacturers have upgraded the video resolution, HTC originally stuck with only 1080p HD video recording on the M8 and is it thought the new phone will see an upgrade here.
An HTC Product Manager spoke with Fudzilla and revealed the HTC One M8 Eye was designed for specific markets, specifically India. The phonewill likely be seeing a release outside of the Indian and Chinese markets and the original HTC One M8 is still the company's Christmas flagship.
HTC recently unveiled the HTC Desire Eye that packs a 13MP camera on the back and also another on the front. The phone is designed for those who want to be taking selfies more than using the rear camera.
The HTC Desire Eye also comes with a 5.2in 1080p LCD display, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.3GHz and 2GB of RAM. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat, has 16GB of storage on board and there is a 2400mAh battery to power it all.
