When a high school art teacher told him he had “potential” three years ago, 18-year-old Jack Ede (@jack_ede) started drawing as often as he could. “I never really took it seriously until that day,” he says. “Now, art is my life.”

Lately, the UK-based illustrator has been obsessed with celebrity portraits. “They’re usually the only people I can find high-definition photographs of on the Internet,” he says. “I found a picture of Morgan Freeman that was incredibly detailed and the resolution was so high that I could zoom into the photo and see every little freckle and pore on his skin. It makes me so excited to draw something when I find a good photograph.”
