The more uncertain Daniela Spalla (@danielaspalla) feels about her life, the more inspired she becomes to create music. “My songs deal with confusion, disappointment, things I have to leave behind,” the Mexico City-based musician says. “Every time I feel off-centered, I write songs to see if I find some answers through that process.”

Daniela, who released her debut album this year, wrote her first song when she was 21 years old in Buenos Aires. She started exploring photography to share introspective moments on the road. “I use Instagram as my diary, documenting shows, rehearsals and spare time with friends,” she says. “I like change. I like to change. Through the years, I’ve found that change is the only thing I don’t fear, maybe because boredom is more scary to me.”
