You might have seen the Moto X (2014) and been thinking a customised handset sounds like a great idea, but at £419 it’s not exactly cheap, so you may also be pleased to hear that for Cyber Monday Motorola is knocking £100 off the price.
The Cyber Monday deal will run from 8am on December 1 until 12pm on December 2 until stocks last, it will mean anyone buying a Moto X via the Moto Maker web-based store front (where they can fully customise the handset) will see the reduced price during that time frame.
Moto Maker allows buyers to pick from a range of colours and finishes for the Moto X’s back cover, including coloured resin, bamboo wood, and coloured leather. The front panel can also be either black or white, and an accent colour can be chosen for the camera surround and control keys.
Users can also add a custom engraving to the back panel and customise the greeting message and wallpaper for the phone.
The Moto X (2014) is Motorola’s latest flagship and packs a 5.2in 1080p AMOLED display alongside a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM, and a 13MP camera. But the big selling point is the customisation options, allowing you to make the phone your own, plus Google’s Android software running in a near-stock configuration.
