“Watching Transformers as kid must have made an impression on me, as that’s what most people see when they first look at my work,” says Anthony Bansal (@248tony), an engineer from Birmingham, England, who makes miniature creations from watch pieces.

“I like anything well made, from shoes to cars and almost anything in between,” explains Anthony. “A love of taking things apart and assembling things has naturally led me to watches and my sculptures.”

Anthony, who draws inspiration from artists like Alexander Calder, lets the watch pieces speak to him, rather than setting out with a specific sculpture in mind. “I sit at my bench with a pile of components in front of me and I can just see what they should be and how they should go together.”
