Weekend Hashtag Project: #WHPglitter

Weekend Hashtag Project is a series featuring designated themes and hashtags chosen by Instagram’s Community Team. For a chance to be featured on the Instagram blog, follow @instagram and look for a post announcing the weekend’s project every Friday.

The goal this weekend is to take creative photos using glitter. Some tips to get you started:

• This project is a chance to get in touch with your crafty side. Break out the art supplies and don’t be afraid to get messy!


• If you enjoy taking photos of people, use glitter makeup for a portrait that pops. Alternatively, use lots of glitter for bold effects.


• Don’t forget to think about your environment as you plan. A single object coated in glitter can change a scene in beautifully unexpected ways.

PROJECT RULES: Please add the #WHPglitter hashtag only to photos taken over this weekend and only submit your own photographs to the project. Any tagged image taken over the weekend is eligible to be featured Monday morning.
