2014 Community Look Back: An Elephant’s Trunk, Making Art on a Family Road Trip and Spinning Creatures from Dreams

This week we are looking back at some inspiring stories we’ve featured in 2014 from around the Instagram community. Today’s spotlight is on Japan-based Instagrammer @mih0n, art photographer Tierney Gearon (@tierneygearon), and New York-based artist Zoë Williams (@x03).

Japanese Instagrammer @mih0n captured a larger-than-life abstract art installation at Zonohana Park in Yokohama, Japan that was selected for The Week on Instagram in June.

From the pink sand dunes outside Kanaab, Utah, Tierney shared an image from her ongoing COLORSHAPE series made in collaboration with her family on their epic art road trips across the western United States.

Zoë documented behind-the-scenes images of her artistic journey on Instagram, and shared the origin story of her whimsical creature creations whom she first saw in her dreams.
