São Paulo wine importer Marcela Furlan (@_indochine_) calls herself a color hunter. “I pay extreme attention to details and accept all environments as possible opportunities for pursuing and capturing color, even the most adverse and achromatic surroundings,” she says.

During her childhood, Marcela accompanied her parents on their many travels and was exposed to new cultures in places as diverse as Greece and Norway. She says, “because of this, I developed a nomadic personality. I have absorbed foreign ways of looking at everyday situations.” Now Marcela has her own adventures. “Every year I visit at least one new country, and have discovered a true passion for Southeast Asia.”

Through her photography, Marcela strives to capture the universal, regardless of culture or language differences. “The truth in a scene is the element that most inspires me to shoot.”
