We’ve been wondering when this’d show up. LG is unsurprisingly developing a successor model to the impressive and popular LG G3 from last year. There’s some new information leaked showing some specs for the next LG flagship - there isn’t anything specifically naming it as the LG G4, but for now that’s what we’re going to assume it’s called.
LG G4 Processor
A screenshot has leaked from a Greek tech website (techmaniacs.gr) showing a dump from Android Lollipop. Meanwhile, according to a source the LG G4 will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor with at least 3GB of RAM (possibly 4GB to make the most of that 64-bit architecture).
LG G4 Camera
The leaked image shows a 16MP sensor will be used for the device’s camera, but it gets better; it features a maximum resolution of 5312x2988 pixels, which essentially means it’s a wide 16:9 ratio sensor that promises to deliver some pretty impressive image quality.
LG G4 Display
On top of this, there’s also a screen resolution mentioned, which is QHD (2560x1440 pixels), although we don’t know the display size just yet. If we had to guess we’d say it’ll be around the same 5.5in size as the LG G3, though maybe LG will trim off some more of that bezel?
LG G4 Release Date
We’ve currently no info on a possible release date, but it’s not too adventurous to speculate that February’s Mobile World Congress expo in Barcelona could see the handset outed in some way, perhaps even officially. Historically LG has been quite public about its launches with a gradual breadcrumb trail of teasers ahead of the big reveal. We expect it’ll be a similar affair this time round.
Do stay tuned as we’ll update this article with more info as it emerges.
