“I first traveled to Istanbul five years ago. It was then I had my first cup of Turkish coffee, and it was fascinating,” says Fahima Karmostaji (@fahimae), who works in the travel industry in Dubai. “If only the person who served me that cup knew he was introducing me to a whole new world.” Fahima shares her love of Turkish coffee, and her collection of porcelain cups, on Instagram. Whether she is drinking alone or with friends, Fahima agrees with the Turkish proverb that says a cup of coffee will be remembered for 40 years. “I love my coffee black,” she says. “I believe that adding sugar or even milk to your coffee ruins the taste or the actual purpose of drinking coffee. Half the joy in drinking a cup of coffee is in the smell. And I never drink it in rush, but with absolute pleasure.”
