Drawing and painting illustrations of women with only one eye helps Stephan Beaumont (@oneeyegirl) prove that perfection is overrated. “My idea through these girls is to transmit beauty as a result of imperfection,” says Stephan, a fashion stylist and self-taught illustrator who divides his time between Barcelona and Marrakech. “They can be delicate, tragic, rock and roll, elegant — with strength and personality. With only one eye they demonstrate to the world that despite being imperfect, they are beautiful.”

The subjects who inspire Stephan’s illustrations often come from Instagram. “My ideas are spawned at times from my imagination, and many other times by Instagram profiles,” he says. “I look for a gesture, a look, an outfit – something that makes me think she can become part of the family of one eye girls.”
