This weekend (June 13th & 14th), Sony Mobile embarks on an ambitious global digital project to take a snapshot of the world through the eyes of Xperia smartphones.
48 Instagrammers, in 48 iconic cities across the globe, have been tasked to share the extraordinary moments they are able to capture with their Xperia over the weekend with their followers, inviting them to share their moments too.
From London to Lisbon, Berlin to Bogota and Sydney to Singapore, a wide network of Xperia followers and influencers will regularly share the things that inspire them on Instagram under the #ICan & #Xperia hashtags.
Utilising the impressive longer-lasting 48-hour battery functionality of Xperia Z3, the chosen 48 will provide a snapshot into their lives for over a 48-hour period.
These results could be as varied as an exploration of London’s incredible nightlife, a day relaxing on the beach in Barcelona, or the stunning sights of Cape Town.

Those taking part in the project include the likes of Nicanor Garcia, a Barcelona based architect with 724,000 Instagram followers, Rio Motret, a passionate photographer from Jakarta with over half a million Instagram followers, and Ahmet Erdem from Istanbul with 643,000 followers.
The ambitious project is designed to highlight just how much more people around the world can experience with an Xperia smartphone in their hands. With the impressive Battery STAMINA Mode, you have more intelligent battery management and can easily improve your standby time by four times or more, ensuring that your only worry is getting your next perfect picture and not worrying about your next charge.
Along with the 48-hour battery, Xperia Z3 & Xperia Z3 Compact also comes armed with a 20.7 megapixel rear camera and 8x digital zoom meaning that you can spend even longer capturing superior shots.
Saab Magalona, a Manilla based Instagrammer, is one of those taking part in the 48 Hour Project.
Saab commented: “A long-lasting battery is essential for a mobile phone to ensure you never miss a moment of magic when you are out and about. Combine the 48-hour battery with the high quality 20.7 megapixel camera and you have the perfect mobile phone with the Xperia Z3.
“As a passionate photographer, I am very excited to be a part of the 48 Hour Project and I can’t wait to capture some fantastic pictures with the Xperia Z3 this weekend to share with my community“.
William Tyler, Senior Campaign Manager Sony Mobile Communications, commented: “Xperia smartphones are for people on the move, who don’t want to be held back, they expect a good camera & battery performance. Xperia users are all around us, and we’re looking forward to sharing in a weekend of extraordinary moments with them all around the world. ”
Offering the most popular standout features including advanced camera capabilities, a long lasting two-day battery life and waterproof1 design, Z3 Xperia is available right now.
