Weekend Hashtag Project is a series featuring designated themes and hashtags chosen by Instagram’s Community Team. For a chance to be featured on the Instagram blog, follow @instagram and look for a post announcing the weekend’s project every Friday.

In honor of Pride Month — and this morning’s landmark decision legalizing marriage for all in the United States — the goal this weekend is to capture creative photos and videos that celebrate pride. Some tips to get you started:

• The rainbow is a key symbol of the LGBT community. Look for rainbows in your surroundings or create your own through original art and craft.
• With dozens of major pride events happening around the world this weekend, there will be plenty of opportunities to capture the energy of the crowds. Seek out candid moments that showcase the joy of the parades and festivities.
• Take the time to strike up conversations with people you meet then share their stories through portraits and captions.

PROJECT RULES: Please add the #WHP🌈 hashtag only to photos and videos taken over this weekend and only submit your own photographs and videos to the project. If you include music in your video submissions, please only use music to which you own the rights. Any tagged image or video taken over the weekend is eligible to be featured Monday morning.
