HTC Vive World Tour: Kicking Things Off in San Diego

Ah, San Diego. Home of endless sunshine, a coastline that stretches as far as the eye can see…and what could very well be the largest comic convention in the world! While we weren’t directly affiliated with Comic-Con, the timing couldn’t have been better for us to kick off the HTC Vive World Tour. When we arrived the city was quickly being filled to its brim with avid gamers and comic fans who we felt could truly appreciate the Vive.

The set-up team landed in town on Wednesday and spent the day getting our tour truck ready for demos. This truck, which you’ll learn more about as the tour proceeds, houses three separate demo bays, each equipped with the technology needed to create an immersive Vive experience.

We were thrilled to see the crowd surrounding the truck grow as word spread, with people lining up for their chance to step into a new world. And if conversation was any indication, the experience surpassed expectations.
