“#hellomynameis Elvis Krajnak (@light.feet) and I am 18 years old. I am half-Dominican and half-Slovak, and I was born and raised in New York, so it’s safe to say that the city has had a big influence on me. My favorite things to photograph are the hidden parts of the city. I was always curious as a child about the places and things in the city that people don’t really know about. I like finding angles, perspectives and small things that people often overlook.

I’ve been playing the piano for about 10 years. Music has taken me to Carnegie Hall and more. It’s a big influence on my life and I’m very grateful for it. I have also done Slovak folk dancing for about nine years. I hope people can see that there are many different levels to their surroundings and to the life they live. I want to show them through my photos that they should not be governed by their fears and perceptions of rules.”
