The most obvious application of virtual reality is in gaming. It doesn’t take much for us to imagine the fantasy worlds and storylines of today’s video games as near-real places and plots that we can fully dive into. But as VR technology evolves and the fidelity of graphics continues to improve, we’ll see the opportunities to use virtual reality grow and expand outside of gaming. Even today, there are rumblings of the potential of VR in medical science and training, architecture, and other areas many of us haven’t even considered.
A couple weekends ago the HTC Vive World Tour headed to San Francisco and while we were there we asked people to share where they think virtual reality might go in the months and years to come. Their responses? Well, see for yourself.
