Right about now is the time people are solidifying their travel for the upcoming holidays. Here in the U.S., we have Thanksgiving coming up at the end of November, and of course we have a bunch of winter holidays like Christmas hitting in December.
So, not only are we thinking about gifts to buy family and friends, but we’re also thinking about how we’re going to keep all our HTC gadgets charged between flights and drives to the relatives. Cue the portable phone charger! With so many options available, we thought we’d help narrow down the list to something manageable. Here are four portable phone chargers worth taking a look at!
HTC Battery Bar
Of course we’re going to put this one on the list – it’s our favorite! Our battery bar is a perfect fit for your HTC phone. It offers a 9,000mAh capacity and 5V/2amp output to give you up to three full charges, even while you’re using your device. It has a universal micro-USB port, making it compatible with a wide variety of devices that can be charged with 5V chargers. It’s a little beefy because of its capacity, but easy to pack in a carry-on or purse. You can pick one up on htc.com for USD $69.99.
Jackery Giant +
Jackery’s Giant + is all about appearances. It’s a sleek charger with a 12,000mAh capacity and ports to charge multiple devices at once. It is micro-USB compatible and also has 1A and 2.1A USB ports. It comes in a few different colors and also has an LED flashlight feature for a little something extra. You can pick up the Giant + on Jackery’s website for USD $39.99. (As of this posting, the Giant + is on sale in Jackery’s online store for USD $29.99.)
Zendure A5
We’ve seen lots of rave reviews of Zendure’s portable chargers. The Zendure A5 comes with a whopping 16,750mAh capacity, which should get you five or six charges in one go. This charger is also equipped with a micro-USB port, as well as dual USB ports to charge multiple devices at once. It offers pass-through charging, so you can charge the external battery while charging your devices at the same time. This is another chunky charger, but it’s definitely still portable and comes with a small carrying pouch. You can grab the A5 on Zendure’s website for USD $55.58.
Emtec Power Pouch
This cool little pouch from Emtec has 6,000mAh capacity, built-in micro-USB and lightning cables and an additional USB port to charge different devices. The battery itself is sealed in a zipper pouch that has a front slip pocket for you to put your phone in. An elastic closure holds your phone in place while it charges. Output is 5V/2.1A with micro-USB, 5V/1A with USB, and 5V/2.1A with lightning cable. Because this is a pouch, we recommend making sure your phone will fit its size before purchasing. You can get the Emtec Power Pouch on Amazon, and as of this posting it’s selling for USD $44.99.
