Twenty-year-old Johannes Hulsch (@bokehm0n) often rises before dawn to capture the morning fog on lakes and rivers in the Ore Mountains. “Fog fascinates me because you never know what’s awaiting you or what to expect on the other side,” the student living in Leipzig, Germany, says. The atmosphere might seem eerie to some, but Johannes finds it soothing. “I often go for a run after a thunderstorm or heavy rain, to clear my head and forget about the everyday hustle and bustle for a couple of hours.” When the first rays of sun break through sleepy treetops and his surroundings come to life, Johannes wants to be there.
