Eric Landon Re-Sparked His Passion for Pottery and Went Global

Last year, Eric Landon began posting mesmerizing high-speed videos and photos from the pottery wheel, and in doing so, entirely transformed Tortus (@tortus_copenhagen), his pottery studio in Denmark. “The most rewarding thing about what I do is acting as an inspiration for other potters around the world,” he says. Some of his followers are so inspired, they’re willing to travel across the globe to learn from the master himself — Landon now holds sold-out workshops to teach his craft. “Over 90 percent of my participants follow me on Instagram. And 80 percent are coming from abroad, as far as Japan, Australia and the US,” he says. Being open to new methods of communication with his followers has paid off: “It really blows my mind. This has created balance for my business, my creativity and for me as a person.”
