“It’s a whole different world underwater,” shore diver Casey Tomasiak (@yesaccasey) says. “Most people don’t know what’s going on in the ocean.” A financial analyst by trade, Casey began documenting his dives off the coast of Singer Island, Florida, at the end of 2014. Manatees hold a special place in his heart, but it’s sea turtles who are his constant companions. He even helped facilitate the rescue of a loggerhead turtle whose shell was detaching. “Now, I know them so well I know when something is wrong with one of them,” the native Floridian says. “That’s pretty cool.”
