Longtime professional sports photographer Brad Mangin (@bmangin) is traveling to capture his 20th #worldseries. While he makes his living with his camera, for the last few years, he’s shared his perspective with his phone. “You look for things that can fit within the framework of the phone’s lens,” Brad says. “You can’t take something of an outfielder who is 300 feet [91 meters] away and bring him close. You need to be able to utilize what’s in front of you.” For Brad, the art of capturing great baseball moments comes from knowing the game inside and out. “You have to anticipate the game, and guess where the ball is going to go, where the players are going to go,” he says. “For me, it’s always been a challenge to try and figure out where the picture is going to be.”
