Weekend Hashtag Project: #WHPsupernatural

Weekend Hashtag Project is a series featuring designated themes and hashtags chosen by Instagram’s Community Team. For a chance to be featured on the Instagram blog, follow @instagram and look for a post every week announcing the latest project.

On Monday, Halloween will be celebrated in the US and other parts of the world. To get in the holiday’s spooky spirit, the goal this weekend is to make photos and videos that transport you to otherworldly scenes.

Here’s how to get started:

Seek inspiration from your favorite fairy tales or sci-fi films or think about another world you’d want to visit — let your imagination run wild.

You don’t have to travel far to create a fantasy setting. Use makeup, costumes and props to transform yourself and your friends right in your backyard.

Bring your scene to life with “magical” gestures and actions: cast a spell with a sparkler, levitate with a well-timed Boomerang or show off another special power.

PROJECT RULES: Please add the #WHPsupernatural hashtag only to photos and videos taken over this weekend and only submit your own visuals to the project. If you include music in your video submissions, please only use music to which you own the rights. Any tagged photo or video taken over the weekend is eligible to be featured next week.
