Watch The Grand Tour For Less: Amazon SLASHES Prime Membership Fee

Richard Goodwin 15/11/2016 - 10:19am

The Grand Tour airs on November 18 on Amazon Prime Video… and ahead of its release, Amazon has SLASHED its Prime Membership fee

The Grand Tour is coming to Amazon Prime Video on November 18, so if you’re a fan of the proper Top Gear format with Clarkson, Hammond and May, then November 18 will be a big day for you.

The Grand Tour is exclusive to Amazon Prime Video – this is the ONLY way to watch it. A lot of people already use Amazon Prime Video, but in order to bulk the numbers up as much as possible, Amazon is slashing the price of its Amazon Prime Membership fee from £79 a year to £59 for a limited time.

I know, I know – £59 is still a lot of money. But when you put that figure into the right context the service kind of starts to pay for itself. If you use Amazon a lot for buying goods, then having access to Prime means you get free next day delivery – this was the main reason I subscribed to it way back in 2012.

The average cost of delivering a product, when you order it online, can vary from a couple of quid to a fiver, so within this logic you only need to order about seven or eight things and you’ve already broken even.

Amazon Prime Membership Benefits

  • Get unlimited, FREE One-Day Delivery on millions of items
  • Enjoy unlimited instant streaming of thousands of movies and TV shows
  • Borrow from thousands of titles from the Kindle Owners' Lending Library
  • Secure, unlimited photo storage with anywhere access

Chuck in all the extras – Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Music Service, Kindle Lending Library – and the package looks even better. In addition to this, Amazon Prime Video has come on leaps and bounds over the past couple of years. Ever since Netflix ditched support for VPN access, I find myself watching using Amazon Prime Video more and more.

Amazon has a TON of exclusive content and films as well. Things like Mr. Robot, The Grand Tour, Transparent and The Man in The High Castle to name but a few. Amazon also has deals with NBC, which means The Walking Dead and a bunch more cool shows besides.

Post VPN-gate, Netflix has lost a lot of its appeal in the UK. I still have an account, largely because its so cheap, but I am increasingly relying on Amazon for my content. Amazon also has built-in renting options as well, so you can access new films just like you can on the Sky Store. And best of all? You get a 30-day free trial to see if it’s everything you hoped for, meaning if you’re not impressed or you don’t use it quite as much as you thought you might then you can just cancel your subscription.

Personally, I don’t know anyone who hasn’t been impressed by Amazon’s Prime membership. The delivery aspect alone is a huge USP that will save you potentially hundreds of pounds a year.

The reduction in price for Amazon Prime Membership is a limited offer that’s running for a short period of time. If you want to access the deal, you can do so by clicking the following link – Yes! I want cheaper Amazon Prime Membership!
